Tell Governor Newsome to halt all new oil and gas permits!
This oil spill is an unfolding disaster, but this is what we know so far:
- The spill is an imminent danger to great blue herons, pelicans, and endangered California least terns, as well as sea turtles and fish.
- The spill is affecting at least six miles of shoreline and beaches in Southern California, and they could be closed for months.
- Oil spills can have severe impacts to public health such as vomiting, nausea, shortness of breath, and headache, as well as skin and nose irritation. Especially vulnerable populations include elderly people and children!
